Those repairs ranged from the repair of small cracks to complete rebuilding and reinforcing of tub bottoms and shower floors. If you have a cracked fiberglass tub or shower and would like to get an estimate to get it repaired there are several things that you will need before you call.
- Note the area of the crack. Is it on the bottom of the tub, the side of the tub (either inside or outside) or on the curved section between the bottom and side? It is critical for us to know.
- How many cracks are there and are they close to each other are they?
- How long are the cracks. Measure each one with a tape measure. Measure from each end of the crack starting with the point where the crack disappears into the fiberglass and cannot be seen to the opposite end of the crack where it disappears and cannot be seen.
Note: If your tub or shower has a crack you should immediately stop using it! If you continue to use it you may get leakage under the unit and then have it seep into the surrounding wall area. This could cause other problems for you. If you are in doubt about whether the crack is leaking, please call us and we would be happy to help you determine if it is. Remember, using a leaking fixture could cost you thousands in water and dry rot damage.
